Townsend Labs Invites Users To Demo The Sphere Mic Modeling Plug-in

PRESS RELEASE – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Redwood City, CA, Aug 16, 2016

Townsend Labs, the creators of the Sphere 3D mic modelling system, are inviting people to try the Sphere plug-in for free.

Users can try a pre-release version of the Sphere plug-in along with pre-recorded tracks created with the Sphere 3D microphone, and hear incredibly authentic emulations of vintage microphones.

Reaction to Sphere 3D mic modeling technology
The Sphere microphone has been shown to select producers in a studio environment with encouraging feedback:

"Probably the best experience I've ever had tracking on an acoustic and again the same thing with the vocals. Just being able to pick what mic we are going to use in post is awesome." Musician and Producer: Nick Liberatore.

"As a lover and owner of lots of vintage mics, I was extremely sceptical but intrigued to try this mic out. The C12 emulation was quite frankly mind blowing and worth many times more than the cost of this mic alone. Sold!"
Dave Izumi - Ed Harcourt, Duke Special, James Bay, Toploader.

The future of microphone modeling
Accurate and flexible, Sphere sets new standards in microphone modeling technology, delivering the real three-dimensional characteristics of the most sought-after microphones on the market.

When combined with the included Sphere DSP plug-in, it emerges as the most comprehensive microphone modeling solution available to date, with a palette of eight classic mics (at time of introduction), and the ability to change polar pattern and proximity control even after tracking.

With the reception it's had this week the Sphere L22 looks set to have major influence on the studio landscape.
